Just finished watching "Predator" , of course ... the 1st one with our (or your?) lovely governator Arnold. Just got it last night, the 2 discs edition was on sale at BestBuy for 9$ and because I haven't had the movie in my collection yet, I bought it. (the one I used to watch when I was a child was those unlicensed VHS cassette.) The film was so good even though lack of consistency of quality between different kind of cuts.

Come to think of it... the movie was funny in a sense. You have a bunch of human characters, who are more like body-builders than mercs, being chased around by that camouflaged alien (OK, it's not "Alien" it's "Predator" you fricking nerd!!! ) ... and all those cheesy dialogs But anyway, a good movie is a good movie. And you've gotta admit, that camouflage effect was wicked... I remembered drawing this Predator guy (or "thing") and hand it in as my art subject's homework when I was in grade 4 or 5. (without all those guts and skulls, for sure)

When I look back to all those things I love from my childhood, almost everything doesn't seem to make sense. Street Fighter II, for example, ridiculous character set (well... not as weird as World Hero) with all those weird moves... doesn't make sense, but it was awesome, one of my most favorite fighting game... so awesome I played it on the SFC until my thumbs bleeded ... and Robocop You know, a robot cop?!?! but... what the heck! I really love the movie.

So... can I conclude that sometime cheesy and ridiculous stuffs are more fun and memorable then "everything making sense"? I don't know, but I like to keep the balance. For me... not everything that has grey + black + silver + light saber is considered "cool" or "deep"... anything can be cool depending on which perspective you're looking from.

OK, enough with all my nonsenses ... the next concept for "Unchained" is on its (her) way, she's someone you know very well
